Just a bit of background, King Yu is from the Rain Clan, Shi Yi's mother's clan. He was defeated by Shi Hao's grandfather when he went on a rampage after finding out what the Rain Clan did to Shi Hao when he was a toddler

The trailer at the end is called Juedai Shuang Jiao, based off a novel by Gu Long, an author who is considered up there along with Jing Yong another classic Wu Xia novelist They are considered two of the three pillars of Wu Xia (Martial Heroes), a lot of novelists draw inspiration off them It will be released on the 25th July

And for those interested in Wanmei Shijie's author's other works, Shen Mu (not Xian Mu) was just released, it is a sequel to his debut novel and considered to be one of his best works, I dont know about the quality of the donghua though since it isnt made by the same studio as this one or Original Force's Zhe Tian

Funny, i wonder if the Chinese (living in China) have a different taste. They were mocking the emperor’s robe saying that it’s so hideous. I thought it looks good although I was hoping that they would give him an emperor’s crown.

As for today’s episode, I’m actually not getting the wow factor. Maybe it’s because they didn’t want to waste money on a small fight scene as every episode of PW contains at least one fight. I thought the killing of the first baddie and King Yu was a bit too ordinary. I was expecting more bloodshed.

In the novel, SH actually massacred everyone from King Yu’s residence save the children, women and the old. But I guess it would too bloody and brutal for a donghua rated G. They are probably afraid of backlash from sensitive Chinese parents. ** just fyi, things can get quite ridiculous (and hilarious) in China, I once read that Soul Land was rumoured that it might be suspended because parents were complaining about inappropriate moral influence for young children when Tang San embraced his mum in one of the earlier scenes. They thought it was a bit too sexually suggestive as both TS and mum look like a pair of lovers. 🤦‍♂️😆🤣 I was rofl when I read that!

So yeah, the censorship board in China must be working round the clock as the country’s guardian protectors. Lol!!

lol I guess it is because the robe isnt as extravagant as one would expect for an emperor, but for me I think it suits Shi Hao given his personality and he isnt like ostentatious in what he wears, he is more of a utility than show kind of person

Yeah the fighting was kind of subdued, which is why I didnt have the usual "EPIC FIGHT" lol you are right probably didnt want to see Shi Hao in that kind of light, since he does massacre everyone but allows children and women to leave, I guess it is also not to tarnish Shi Hao's image since he just became an emperor and the change in his personality might be too much for some viewers, even though I dont see anything wrong, they all deserve annihilation and they all brought it upon themselves?

i already watched most of your titles. i thought you're new in donghua so i just recommended this 4 since they're solid titles (good story, visual, have a lot of eps and 10 mins up per ep) for new audience.

Hey all, by the way, Isn't it boring. After the death of good brother, the episodes only have fighting without content

thats because the calamity has come and has upset the balance of the world, the previous strong people are not there and the weak are trying their best to seize the opportunity to be the next strong.

But still , the story is showing only fighting instead of content right? From the top comment, i believe u meant to say they is they are no strong people meant to control, the others will only fight and not talk which is only making this series not so watchable.

Just a quick note, if there is only fighting for about 95% of episode , then what is the difference of watching the same repetitive thing every episode than wasting the time.

I'm okay with to episodes which contains 50% of fighting and 50% normal story content without fighting which pretty much make most of the Chinese animes episodes. I am still waiting for this anime content to change as it at its initial episodes which makes more common sense for a character development.

Also i think the episodes contains more fighting is not due to the strong people were dragged into upper world, rather than the director is keeping more fighting content from the episodes where he killed his brother . That fighting and graphics on those episodes is do good, but the episodes after that content only have fighting secenes for about 90% of the episodes which inturn making this series boring

Still waiting for the director to change his/her direction.
